Tori Amos has released "Trouble's Lament" today, the first single off of her upcoming fourteenth studio album titled Unrepentant Geraldines. The song is a dark, sultry country ballad, with Amos' soft, high-pitched voice accompanied by a twangy steel guitar and a backing piano melody. The lyrics are dark and somber, telling the story of Trouble, a woman who searches for a home after falling out with Death.
"Trouble's Lament" functions as a strong preview for Unrepentant Geraldines, set to release on May 13th. The album is currently available for pre-order on Amazon
