Yesterday, the Jerry Garcia YouTube Channel published a live performance of "Uncle John's Band" from the Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration featuring Warren Haynes and the Colorado Symphony that was performed on July 30th, 2013 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO. You can watch the clip above.

The Colorado Symphony lead into the Workingmans Dead song with a short jam involving breezy horns and earthly sounding strings. Armed with Jerry Garcia's "Wolf" guitar, Warren Haynes' vocals are crisp while Alecia Chakour and Jasmine Muhammad add soulful background vocals. Drummer Jeff Sipe and bassist Lincoln Schleifer provide the rhythm as the song flows in waves. It's a pleasant ride throughout, while we follow Warren's storytelling vocals supplemented by the orchestra.
