Georgia rock band Blackberry Smoke have shared the first single from their upcoming album, Like An Arrow. Listen to "Waiting for the Thunder" above, courtesy of Earache Records' YouTube.
Singer and guitarist Charlie Starr spoke about the song with Rolling Stone:
Simply put, it's a rock & roll song. It's the statement we want to make, musically... Lyrically, I think maybe it touches on how crazy the world seems right now.
And rock & roll it is. The mid-tempo song features distorted guitar riffs, Starr's seasoned vocals, and soulful organ and guitar solos. Crank it up to 11!
Like An Arrow is scheduled to be released on October 14, 2016 on Earache Records.
