Melvins have just released this bizarre animated music video for "Warhead," a fierce, sludgy Venom cover from last year's all-covers record, Everybody Loves Sausages. The track features guest guitars and vocals from Neurosis' Scott Kelly.
The video is a twisted fever dream, filled with anthropomorphic objects and nuclear terror. The Kyle Westbrook-directed clip follows the misadventures and untimely demise of a group of food products and household objects, including a butter man who melts away, an onion who peels himself and cries about it, and a shotgun shell who mistakenly sets himself ablaze. Check out the madness above.
Speaking about the song, King Buzzo told Spin:
"I think a bunch of people dismiss these guys because their records aren't perfect-sounding and the silly Satanic stuff, but I always thought that's what was good about them."
Everybody Loves Sausages came out last year on Ipecac and you can purchase it via iTunes. Buzz Osbourne is also embarking on his first solo tour this week. You can find dates and details right here at Zumic.
