Hip-hop legend Q-Tip was the final lecturer at Red Bull Music Academy last week, and the Tribe Called Quest Member brought decades of experience and knowledge with him to the couch. He took questions and spoke for a full two hours about a wide variety of topics. He spoke about the beginnings of hip-hop, his influences (both then and now), the huge amount of people he's worked with over the years, what he's looking forward to doing in the future, and losing everything in a fire.

Q-Tip has lived and breathed music for a long time, and luckily we have the chance to learn from him in this talk. There's going to be plenty to absorb until next year's Red Bull Music Academy comes along.

Be sure to check out the previous lectures by Giorgio Moroder and James Murphy, also available for free from the Red Bull Music Academy.
