Art comes to life through Justin Bieber in the official "Where Are Ü Now" music video. Watch above on YouTube.
Built upon the beats of EDM duo Skrillex and Diplo, this is the second single from their collaborative studio album, Jack Ü, on their respective labels OWSLA and Mad Decent. Bieber contributes his crooning vocals to the track, which has since become number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This is Justin Bieber's 15th Top 20 hit.
In creating the highly animated music video, Jack Ü invited fans to The Seventh Letter Gallery and had them express their creativity by doodling on silhouettes of Bieber. The artwork, ranging from hearts surrounding the playboy to depictions of him as the devil, was featured in the production.
Releasing a statement about the project, Jack Ü offers:
We are being overwhelmed, in a good way, by the success of 'Where Are Ü Now' with Justin Bieber, so with the video, we wanted to just take it back to the beginning of the record and essentially create an ode to our fans. We walk a fine line by being 'famous' and in the public eye, but we are only here because of you, the fans. Justin wrote this record during a tough time in his life, and it comes to us that sometimes, as artists, we are also just objects, and we have to take that as much as we have to create. We all do this for you, respect that you put us here, and it's Ü that made the video.
