Wolf, Tyler, The Creator's second album, is a thematic record with a storyline and characters made up by the eccentric rapper. The Odd Future member shows growth from his outlandish fantasy raps found in his previous catalog, getting more personal than ever before. Subject matter such as coping with fame, relationship issues, family death, effects of drugs, and bullying are included within the album.
Themes aside, the production featured on Wolf is superb, with Tyler handling most of the album. Except for the final track, "Lone," everything on the record is produced by him. This approach makes for a project that is cohesive and sounds like one continuous great song. The rest of the Odd Future members make appearances, as well as Pharrell and Casey Veggies. The surprise cameo of the album is Erykah Badu, lending her beautiful vocals on "Treehome95." The cinematic story, smooth production, and improvement in Tyler's lyrics makes Wolf a dope album.
