Pink Floyd have shared a music video for their 1972 Obscured By Clouds track "Wot’s... Uh The Deal." Watch it above, courtesy of the band's YouTube.
The video shows photographs of the band at Strawberry Studios in Chateau D’Herouville, France during the recording sessions for the soundtrack to the film La Vallée. As described in Wikipedia, "After recording had finished, the band fell out with the film company, prompting them to release the soundtrack album as Obscured by Clouds, rather than La Vallée. In response, the film was retitled La Vallée (Obscured by Clouds) on its release."
The photographs come courtesy of Jean-Denis Mahn, and give an intimate feel that show the band at work and enjoying some ping-pong and foosball during their downtime. It is reminiscent of 1971 video footage of the band at Abbey Road seen in the Live at Pompeii film and other documentaries.
The video will be included on a release of individual volumes from the box set The Early Years 1965-1972. That and the rest of The Early Years 1965-1972 material is currently available on Amazon.
Earlier this month, Pink Floyd shared live concert footage “Atom Heart Mother” from their appearance at Pop Deux Festival de St. Tropez in France, 1970.
