The Arsenio Hall show is back, and the house band is pretty awesome. In the clip above, you can see them backing up the one and only Nas on a tune from his 2012 album, Life Is Good, "You Wouldn't Understand" featuring Victoria Monet who sings during this live performance as well as on the album version. It's a song of triumph, and Nas delivers a great performance to welcome back The Arsenio Hall Show.
Before the performance, Arsenio Hall spoke with Nas and shared a really touching moment. Arsenio wishes Nas a happy 40th birthday and shares the story of how a Nas lyric, "Bring back Arsenio" helped inspire him to get back in the television talkshow game. Nas responds with a truly heartfelt "Arsenio Hall is the official king of late night television. We all know that. Official. I've been watching you since I was a young boy, and you have the best show in the world, so this is a big deal to me. I'm honored to be here." Another tidbid is that supposedly Nas will be announcing a big project on the show at a later date. Stay tuned for more info on that.
