Last night, Lorde performed her song "Yellow Flicker Beat" at the 2014 American Music Awards. The song is the lead single from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack. The AMAs also featured performances by 5 Seconds of Summer, Iggy Azalea, Mary J. Blige, Garth Brooks, Charli XCX, Fergie, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Skylar Grey, Imagine Dragons, Jessie J, Wyclef Jean, MAGIC!, Nicki Minaj, One Direction, Pitbull, Sam Smith, and Taylor Swift.

The performance starts with the New Zealand pop star singing in a small, square room with only her inside. The camera pulls out to show the stage, where the "room" is lifted away, revealing Lorde to the audience. She takes the stage to deliver one of the strongest, most energetic performances of the night. Lorde's energy was so contagious it had Taylor Swift rocking out and singing along. Lorde was nominated for a number of awards, including Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Album in the Pop / Rock category.

You can grab The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack on Amazon (CD, MP3) or iTunes.
