Conor Oberst gets apocalyptic in the official music video for "Zigzagging Toward The Light," a track from his just-released Upside Down Mountain.

In the David Altobelli-directed visual, Oberst travels solo in a world now occupied by nothing but disembodied voices, ghosts, and memories. He begins by having a conversation with a nameless, faceless entity, before wandering the streets of Manhattan, filled with nameless, faceless people. He goes about his day, singing his song into a handheld recorder, but before long, the world comes crashing down and the nuclear wasteland is exposed. The ominous clip concludes with "To Be Continued," though, so this may not be the end. Watch above.

Upside Down Mountain came out last week on Nonesuch Records. You can stream the whole album right here at Zumic.
