Minus Light, an alternative-pop duo out of Los Angeles, California, are the latest winners of our ReverbNation contest. You can listen to their winning song, "Learning to Love," above.
Minus Light consist of Jeramy "Beardo" Gritter and Maxeene Davlin, and they make synthy, sunny music with fuzzy guitars and otherworldly atmospheres. When you first listen to them ,you think of bands like The Strokes and The Raveonettes, but they are able to maintain their own sound. The end of the song has an instrumental breakdown that gets progressively wilder and stranger. It's fascinating to listen to the song progress and change from pop to experimental all in under 5 minutes.
