Two days before First Aid Kit released their record Stay Gold, the indie folk duo performed a show at Boston's Paradise Rock Club as a part of WGBH's Front Row Boston. In between live performances are short interviews with the two sisters discussing the new record and their path to becoming musicians.

The folk musicians played a mix of songs from all three of their studio records, but they shine the brightest when playing tracks from their latest record. Their voices blend beautifully on the americana tune "My Silver Lining" and the title track of the new record, "Stay Gold."

During an interview, a fan of the group said the best way to classify First Aid Kit's music is beautiful, and I have to say that I agree. Their music flows easily and lingers like the bittersweet taste of coffee. The way the folk duo weaves stories is reminiscent of musicians such as Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan, two of Söderberg sisters biggest influences. The retro sound is surprising from such a young group of musicians, but in the most pleasant way.

You can purchase Stay Gold on iTunes, Amazon, and their official website.
