Former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher and his band, High Flying Birds, have released a single called "In The Heat Of The Moment," which you can listen to above. The song will be available November 16th as a limited 7". The tune is from their upcoming album, Chasing Yesterday, which will be available on March 2nd via Sour Mash Records.
A consistent drum beat from Jeremy Stacey drives the tune while distorted guitars create waves of slight tension that build up and come down. There's a new sense of maturity in Noel Gallagher's singing. His vocal range shifts from high to low, most noticeably during the chorus. It's a straight-ahead rock song that showcases what fans can expect to hear from the new album.
