Published December 04, 2014

On Tuesday, Chicago rapper Lil Herb released "Knucklehead." The song features Odd Future member Earl Sweatshirt, who also serves as the track's producer. "Knucklehead" is part of Red Bull's new 20 Before 15 series, in which a new track released every day before 2014 is over.

Herb raps about the bad decisions he made in his childhood. He raps, "Remember when I used to skip school, hit the block instead? / Diaries of a knucklehead / I used to slang under cameras like 'Fuck the feds' / Diaries of a knucklehead." Salute to Earl for the great production. His dark but enchanting piano riff proves he's been taking lessons from his older Odd Future counterpart Tyler, The Creator. While Herb spits about the negative life he used to live, Earl discusses his battle his demons and an absent father. Listen as the young rappers reflect on their pasts.
