Last night, a terrorist attack outside of an Ariana Grande concert at The Manchester Arena killed 22 people and sent over 50 more to the hospital. A 23-year-old suspect has been arrested, and ISIS is claiming responsibility.
Updated May 24 at 5:59 pm: An official statement has been made that the next seven tour dates are postponed and ticket refunds are available through Ticketmaster / Live Nation.
A message from Grande's label Republic Records states:
Due to the tragic events in Manchester the Dangerous Woman tour with Ariana Grande has been suspended until we can further assess the situation and pay our proper respects to those lost. The London O2 shows this week have been canceled as well as all shows thru June 5 in Switzerland.
This is the deadliest attack in the UK since the July 7 bombings in London which occurred in 2005. It is never easy dealing with these situations. The singer shared her thoughts shortly afterward in a statement on Twitter:
