The extraordinarily talented Jhené Aiko has released a special song on her 26th birthday: "My Afternoon Dream" is a beautiful soaring tune with a matching video. Watch above, and head to her SoundCloud page for a free download.

"My Afternoon Dream" starts with an airy piano and percussion. There are slight rippling sounds that give the sense of a needle scratching delicately over a vinyl record. Electronic synth and boombastic bass come in before Aiko's vocal, which sounds hypnotically lovely. There is some heavy production at points, but Aiko's voice remains as the natural centerpiece of the song.
