Chicago rockers Twin Peaks have just shared "Flavor," a cut from their upcoming sophomore album, Wild Onion.
The track is garage-inspired power pop, with '70s sensibilities and a modern attitude. The guitars blend seamlessly together, with lead and rhythm set combining from right and left to create a cool stereo image. The soulful vocals sit well in the mix, jutting out for a gritty line here and there, showing off their punk rock style. They take it down for the bridge with clean guitars, but kick it back into high gear for the final chorus. All around, "Flavor" is solid vintage rock and roll from the Chicago up-and-comers. Check it out above.
Wild Onion will be out August 5th via Grand Jury, and you can pre-order it through Amazon. For more, check out video of their recent performance on KEXP right here at Zumic.
