On last night's Late Show with David Letterman, Chicago garage band The Orwells performed "The Righteous One" off their newly released sophomore effort, Disgraceland. Watch it above.

It was their second Letterman appearance, undoubtedly invited back because Letterman begged for an encore the first time around. Once again, singer Mario Cuomo strutted around like the lovechild of Robert Plant and Jim Morrison with even tighter pants. This time, his shoes matched.

As young as they are, graduating high school just last year, their performance doesn't come off as amateur. The song grooved along steadily and finished off with a screaming frenzy, as Letterman rushed to welcome them back with praise and enthusiasm.

Disgraceland is out now on Atlantic / Canvasback. Get it on Amazon. You can stream the album and check out our review here on Zumic. For more of the Orwells' latest music, news, and tour dates, check out their Zumic artist page.
