San Francisco country-rockers Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers have released their sophomore studio album titled Loved Wild Lost. The band consists of vocalist Nicki Bluhm, guitarist Deren Ney, bassist Steve Adams, rhythm guitarists Tim Bluhm and Dave Mulligan, and drummer Mike Curry.

In a press release, Nicki talked about the band’s maturation and the new album:

After three solid years of playing as a band across the country, we have had time to learn, reflect and grow. This album displays a departure into the deeper and more contemplative themes of people in transition and the struggle to retain the energy and optimism of youth as life becomes more complex.

Loved Wild Lost is 11 songs of beautifully crafted, soulful rock songs that range in influences of folk rock, classic rock, classic pop, and alternative country. It's an album that mixes heartfelt acoustic ballads with barroom style rock and roll. Every song carries it's own unique vibe, and Nicki's angelic vocal style shines throughout the album.

It's rare to hear a band sound this impressive on only their second album, but years playing live shows have matured the band, both musically and lyrically. Highlights include "Heartache," "Queen of the Rodeo," "Mr. Saturday Night," "Heart Gets Tough," "Me and Slim," and "Waiting On Love."

You can pick up Loved Wild Lost on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3). You can also stream the full album above, via Spotify.
