Recently, Atlanta's Blackberry Smoke shared an official music video for "Too High," a track from their 2015 release Holding All The Roses. Watch it above via Earache Records YouTube.

At the beginning of the song, acoustic picking creates a sense of moody darkness. A mellow groove sets in with classic country instruments locking together including mandolin, fiddle, piano, and twangy guitars. Charlie Starr's vocals shine with southern charm as he admits the mountain is too high for him to climb. It's a full sounding song that showcases the awesome musicianship of the players.

Clips of the band performing the song are inserted in the video as we follow a storyline about two young girls who runaway into a forest to see a man. We see a barn that's been converted into a drug lab, and a man reminiscing while looking through a photo album. It's a slightly open-ended video that references a passage in the Bible, setting up the video's symbolic theme.

Holding All The Roses is currently available on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3). You can read our review and stream the album here on Zumic.
