Last week, Sam Smith captivated the audiences of the 2015 BRIT Award show with an immaculate performance of "Lay Me Down," the sixth single off of his album In the Lonely Hour. The four-time Grammy winner continues to add trophies to his shelf as he accepted the Breakthrough Act Award and the Global Success Award at this year's show, adding to the Critics' Choice BRIT award that he took home in 2014.
The dark stage was set with a grand piano and an orchestra dressed in all-white, highlighted by blue and purple lighting. An elaborate backdrop of smoke and light enhanced the calming music, setting the stage for Smith as he swayed back and forth during his commanding performance.
Smith's flawless vocals and movements were in sync with the emotions behind the track. The British soul singer hasn't disappointed as he's been in the spotlight many times during this award season and will continue to perform throughout his 2015 world wide tour.
