One of the biggest and best parties of the year is back. Diplo's Mad Decent Block Party has announced when and where it plans to take its no-holds-barred event this year, a 13 city run through Canada and the US that will surely plow through any obstacles in its way using a combination of water guns, day-glo and molly. The summer throw down kicks off in Calgary July 19th and comes to a close in San Diego September 15th.

However, this year's version of the Block Party is not without its own bit of controversy. There has been a pretty decent (some might even say mad decent) amount of Internet backlash over the fact that 1. the Block Party has gone from a annually free to a now ticketed event and 2. that although there was no official word from Mad Decent on the exact reason it left Chicago out as a destination, most people think it's punishment for the riot that took place at the show last year and forced police to shut it down. This was the scene here.

So attention all potential partiers, you need to do three things: check out the full dates below, jump to the Mad Decent Block Party site to grab your $20 early bird ticket and start assembling your summer outdoor rave/festie outfit.
