Iconic Seattle record label Sub Pop Records is celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. So, to kick off their Sub Pop Silver Jubilee, who better to perform atop the legendary Seattle landmark than Seattle rockers Mudhoney?

July 11th, the band will perform tethered to the very top of the Space Needle, which stands at an impressive 605 feet. There will be several days of festivities to follow.

Mudhoney confirmed the announcement via Twitter:

The announcement of such a humongous spectacle seems a bit ironic, though, considering their recent single, "I Like It Small."
