A few hip hop legends have come together for a sick new track. Listen to "The Sickness" above, featuring verses from J. Dilla (!) and Nas (!!), with production from Madlib (!!!).
"The Sickness" was first released as a bonus track on J. Dilla's posthumous 2016 release The Diary, which came out on April 15th via Mass Appeal Records, which is owned by Nas. Dilla was better known as a revolutionary producer than a rapper, but he proves here that he's got skills on the mic. It's also rare to hear new bars from Nas, as he hasn't released a new album since Life Is Good in 2012. He comes through with his patented killer flow, giving us hope for another classic LP in the not-too-distant future.
Pick up J Dilla's The Diary on Amazon and iTunes.
