Big Boi continues his series of Monday mashups. Today, he released "Objectum Shalamar" as a collaboration with Phantogram. The song combines Big Boi's "Objectum Sexuality" with music from '70s group Shalamar. Watch the psychedelic video above, via YouTube. This follows "C.P.U. 2.0" which Big Boi and Phantogram did together, with a Sade mashup.
In all, it's a fun disco track with slinky guitar and a funky danceable beat. Big Boi's 2012 album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors continues to give us some really good music. Big Boi, whose real name is Antwan André Patton, also goes by the names "Daddy Fat Sacks," "Lucious Left Foot," "Billy Ocean," "Hot Tub Tony," and "Francis the Savannah Chitlin' Pimp." Whatever you want to call him, he'll be touring with Outkast this summer. Right now, no Outkast album is in the works, so this is the closest thing you'll get to new Outkast music for now.
