Interpol have just premiered a new track from their upcoming album and its accompanying music video. Watch "All The Rage Back Home" above.
The track kicks off with a serene bed of reverb-soaked sounds, but kicks into high indie rock gear and rides the wave for its 4+ minute duration. The main guitar tones hearken back to early-2000s power pop, but they intertwine several layers of multi-textured riffs, giving the song a modern twist. The Paul Banks and Sophia Peer-directed video sees hazy footage of the band spliced with clips of some epic big wave surfers. It's relatively simple, but the surf footage alone is worth the watch. Check it out above.
"All The Rage Back Home" will live on Interpol's upcoming El Pintor, due out September 9th. Pre-order the record at Amazon. We recently caught Interpol at Governors Ball 2014, so check out our Day 3 recap for photos.
