Katy Perry's new single "Roar" leaked this weekend, and already we have the premiere of its official lyric video. The clip starts with the familiar sound of a smart phone alarm awakening Perry, and once she picks up her phone, we see a conversation between her and some friends on Whatsapp. The chat features the lines of the song written in a combination of words and abundant emoji symbols. There are flames and lions and dancing girls, all providing a picture version of the words Perry inspirationally sings in the fun track. The Whatsapp lyric conversation is interspersed with shots of Perry using her phone in various locations and activities, such as while eating, working out, or in a bathtub. The video ends with an adorable cameo of Perry's furry cat, Kitty Purry.
"Roar" was released on iTunes last night, and currently sits at #1 on the Top Singles chart. You can buy the song on iTunes. "Roar" will also be available on Katy Perry's upcoming fourth album, Prism, due out on October 22nd.
