The song is fronted by the Carolina Chocolate Drops' Rhiannon Giddens. The combination of Giddens' vocals and slow banjo picking creates an eerie ballad. The video itself takes the viewer on a journey through a strange world inhabited by cut-out animated monsters. With the camera constantly going deeper into this world, the viewer's eyes will be engaged as they hear the tale of three sailors who were after the love of the titular character.
