Quasi is getting ready to release their 9th studio album, Mole City, in October, but have announced another record to go along with it: In addition to the 24 tracks on the new double album, they will release a bonus CD of covers for fans that pre-order Mole City. The bonus disc is entitled Interprets, and while there is no tracklist yet, we do have one preview from it. Quasi have released a cover of Black Sabbath's 1970 track, "War Pigs." It's a great cover, and staying true to the original, Quasi maintains the heavy and distorted sound of the song. "War Pigs" is pretty different from Quasi's newest single, "See You On Mars," but it's equally enjoyable and definitely worth checking out.
Mole City will be out on October 1st via Kill Rock Stars. You can pre-order it now on iTunes or the Kill Rock Stars official site. Interprets will be included with pre-orders, but it will also be available at merchandise tables during the band's upcoming tour. Quasi will be in North America in October and November, then will head to Europe in December. You can find tickets on Songkick.
