Indie folk band The Milk Carton Kids have shared their version of Pink Floyd's 1975 classic song, "Wish You Were Here," which you can listen to above. The song was recorded on a single microphone during the group's current fall tour.
With slight changes to the vocal delivery and verse structure, the duo deliver a warm, relaxed version. Whereas the original Waters / Gilmour song sounds more dynamic, The Milk Carton Kids cover is more subdued. The two acoustic guitars and vocal harmonies compliment each other.
This version will be available on all download and streaming services beginning October 23, 2015.
Earlier this year, the band released their fifth album, Monterey. Pick it up on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3). You can also stream the full album for free here on Zumic.
