"Hunger" - Born Gold [YouTube Official Video]

Born Gold, an electronic artist group led by frontman Cecil Frena, have released an advanced track from their upcoming album I Am An Exit today called "Hunger." Previously known as Gobble Gobble, this album will be the group's third since changing their name to Born Gold.

Born Gold runs with a pretty cool crowd, with friends in the biz like Purity Ring and Grimes (Purity Ring's Corin Roddick and Megan James were members of Gobble Gobble before forming Purity Ring). The production in Born Gold's "Hunger" sounds like the production we would expect from a Purity Ring, but the vocals are all Frena.

Overall, "Hunger" is a bright, playful, soulful track. The video, made to look like an old VHS tape, is quirky and fun, decorated with cartoon hearts. But its also really, really strange. At one point the woman cuts her stomach open with a knife at a picnic. Though we were kind of unsure at times, the video is definitely worth a watch.
