Pearl Jam performed "Sirens," the latest single from their new album Lightning Bolt on NBC's Late Night With Jimmy Fallon live last night.
"Sirens" is a heartfelt ballad, with a constant, toned-down rhythm, loud drums and a mood carried consistently through Eddie Vedder's vocals. As the song picks up intensity during the bridge, Vedder picks up an acoustic guitar, strumming open chords to contrast with the distorted electric solo. The band keeps the mellow energy alive onstage, and the studio crowd was constantly cheering them on from all sides.
