Over the course of the last month, Pitchfork has been sharing videos of performances from their Paris festival. Today, we're treated to videos of Warpaint playing "Love is to Die" and "Elephants." Both have been compiled into a YouTube playlist, which you can watch above.

The all-girl four piece show off considerable chops while performing both songs, with Theresa Wayman and Emily Kokal trading lead vocal duties, and the rhythm section of Jenny Lee Lindberg and Stella Mozgawa laying down striking, angular grooves (special shout-out to Mozgawa's beautiful Ludwig Amber Vistalite drum kit, a model frequently used by the late John Bonham). Warpaint's dark and intriguing music seems to find new life in a live setting, with interplay and communication between members becoming very apparent among the songs' many twists and turns. They're now sitting atop my personal "must see" list.

Take a listen to Warpaint's recent performance and interview on BBC Radio 6, and preorder their upcoming self-titled album from Rough Trade Records.
