Hozier stopped by the BBC Live Lounge to perform "To Be Alone," an unreleased song off his upcoming debut record. This performance accompanied a cover of the Arctic Monkeys' "Do I Wanna Know."

The bluesy tune is about a young man and how much he enjoys the company of his girl. Hozier writes about sensuality in such a poetic way, which is especially apparent in the bridge, "I don't know what else that I would do / Than try to kiss the skin that crawls from you / Than feel your weight in arms I'd never use / It's the god that heroin prays to."

Hozier also shows off his vocal abilities about two minutes into the video, hitting some high notes straight on with a beautiful, pure tone. The young musician is constantly surprising listeners with his abilities whether it be vocally or lyrically. He's definitely an artist to keep an eye on.

You can preorder Hozier's debut album on iTunes, Amazon, and his official music store.
