"Atlas" - Coldplay (for Hunger Games Soundtrack) [YouTube Lyric Video]

Coldplay's follow up to their 2011 album, Mylo Xyloto, isn't ready yet, but the band was able to finish a song for the upcoming Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie soundtrack. "Atlas" is the lead single for the 2nd installment in the motion picture trilogy. It's a cinematic ballad, with tinkling piano behind soft vocals. After a gentle start, the song grows until the powerful and uplifting end. The lyric video provides extra wonder and beauty, as the words are strung together within constellations and floating galaxies. It's a lovely animation of the cosmos, fitting for the ballad about "carrying your world" like the Greek mythological titan.

"Atlas" is already available as a single on iTunes. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Soundtrack will be released in November, but you can pre-order it on My Play Direct now. The film will hit theaters on November 22nd.
