Slayer began their farewell world tour in May of 2018. This week they announced the last leg of dates, billed as The Final Campaign, through November of 2019.
The newly announced American shows are scheduled through November 30, with 18 newly added performances lined up. Joining the bill will be Primus, Ministry, and Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, who will perform "a vulgar display of Pantera." Before then, Slayer will play concerts and festivals through Europe and South America during the summer months.
Formed in 1981, Slayer have cemented themselves as one of the most powerful metal bands of all time. Since their retirement announcement, the band has performed 140 shows in 30 countries and 40 states — giving their legions of fans one last opportunity to headbang with them. It is interesting to note that Slayer's final performance will be a hometown show scheduled at The Forum in Los Angeles.
