Following his critically successful 2011 album Smoke Ring for My Halo is Wakin On A Pretty Daze, Kurt Vile's new 69-minute long double album. Set for an April 9th release, the album is available for pre-order now at Matador Records. The opening track, "Wakin On A Pretty Day," is also up for free download. The song is up on YouTube and is accompanied by an outtake footage from a documentary about the album cover mural, created by artist Steve Powers, aka ESPO.
Along with the announcement of the new album comes a list of tour dates, starting with Coachella on April 14th. The Fresh & Onlys, Steve Gunn, and Angel Olsen will also be joining him in a few performances. Tickets for all US tour dates go on sale later this week on February 15th except for LA which goes on sale on February 16th and Seattle which is available now.
