The latest single from Starbucks' Sweetheart 2014 album is a Phosphorescent take on Bob Dylan's "Tomorrow Is A Long Time" which was first released on the album Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II in 1971 but dates back to 1962. If tomorrow is a long time, what do you call 9 years? How about 52 years, from '62 to 2014? Check out the original Bob Dylan demo recording of the song on Spotify:
Matthew Houck plays a version that's true to the original, swapping in an electric guitar for Dylan's acoustic, and adding harmonic keyboards in the background for texture. The tenderness of the vocals in both performances is truly beautiful.
The Sweetheart 2014 album is due out on February 4th, just before Valentine's Day. For more info, check out the Sweetheart album official website.
