Souls of Mischief and Adrian Younge are coming out with a collaborative album called There Is Only Now. They debuted the title track today. Check it out above via SoundCloud.
"There Is Only Now" is an awesome flashback to old-school hip hop. Despite the opening line of the hook, "The past is an illusion there is only now," this track certainly draws from past influences with its '90s-style boom-bap beat and the constant delivery of dope bars. Souls of Mischief are joined by fellow Californian and '90s hip-hop Snoop Dogg, whose mellow lyrics fit right in with this nostalgic track.
There Is Only Now hits store August 26 and is available for pre-order now on iTunes.
