Kanye West Performs At Dictator's Grandsons' Wedding

Kanye West performed in Kazakhstan this weekend at the wedding of the grandson of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. President Nazarbayev has ruled Kazakhstan for 23 years and is accused of numerous human rights violations including an incident in 2011, during which a dozen striking oil workers were killed by police. Neither West nor Nazarbayev have responded to calls for comments. Kanye West doesn't care about Kazakh people.

British Phonographic Industry to Begin Automatically Certifying Records Gold, Platinum

BPI will be automatically awarding Silver, Gold, and Platinum to records based on their sales recorded by the Official Charts Company. Previously, a request for certification had to be made before the award would be given. This will apply retroactively, which means that classic albums such as the Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band will finally be recognized as a Platinum album.

Harry Connick Jr. Joins American Idol as Third Judge

Harry Connick Jr. has officially joined American Idol as its third and final judge. Idol, now in its thirteenth season, is seeking to rebound from record-low ratings last year. They are hoping that the addition of Connick will bring the attention back to the contestants, rather than focusing on celebrity judges.
