Lil' Poopy is the Worst Thing That Has Ever Happened to Music

It's the beginning of the end. Ladies and gentlemen, hip hop may very well have reached it's expiration date in the form of Lil Poopy, aka: the Youngest Don.

French Montana signed this 9-year-old "protege" and his debut Coke Ain’t A Bad Word dropped last week. This exists, this is not a joke, this is a serious manifestation of the nightmare that has become the reality of the future generation of hip hop.

Why is nobody calling child protective services? Where is this child's parents? Is this child a close friend of Latarian Milton? What is going on?!

Apparently the child's parents think that there is nothing wrong with this situation, stating any negative allegations towards Lil' Poopy are racially charged.

The family’s attorney denies any wrongdoing by father or son and calls the investigation “racially motivated.”

“White child actors are depicted in far more serious scenes, including violence and sexual content, and they get awards,” Boston attorney Joseph Krowski, Jr. told ABCNews.com. “A young Hispanic male who raps — he gets an investigation.”

Krowski calls Lil Poopy an “immense talent” whose “star has been on the rise.” He said the boy has been performing for a couple of years. “Powerful people in the industry have seen him and recognize him to be a great up-and-coming talent,” Krowski said, referring to P Diddy and Poopy’s mentor, rapper French Montana.

I digress for a moment, and ask the simple question that is beyond race, and can't help but wonder why anyone thinks it's appropriate for a 9-year-old to be rapping about how "Coke ain't a bad word". Aside from any drug innuendo, a 9-year-old really shouldn't even be drinking Coke (the soft drink) in the first place.

The terms "Immense talent", "star on the rise", "up-and-coming talent" are clearly thrown out quite loosely in this genre of music. Take a look and listen to what I personally find to be the 5th Horsemen of the "Hip Hop" Apocalypse and see for yourself where you lie on the Lil' Poopy barometer.
